Victorian Desalination Plant

The Victorian Desalination Project was built to ensure Melbourne has a high quality, reliable rainfall-independent water supply that can supplement its storages in times of drought or demand.

Watersure, a Suez Ventia joint venture, is engaged in a 27 year contract to deliver the operations and maintenance of the project, across the plant seawater tunnels, pipeline and ecological reserve.

24 hour monitoring by a highly skilled and experienced team ensures the plant is capable of supplying up to 150 billion litres of high quality drinking water annually to Melbourne and connected regional areas.
